There were a few other campers here at this Bergheim car parking area, so it felt quite safe. It was a nice spot, next to the canal walking path and behind the Paffendorf Castle. In case you were wondering, we had the 'Camperstop Europe' book and a couple of websites/apps that told us where it was OK to 'Wild Camp' or park your RV 'Free Standing'.
